Stroboscope
This work arose from looking at stained glass windows, sacred geometries and toy kaleidoscopes. The imagery draws on depictions of the sun, or moving through a tunnel. I apply radial symmetry to footage of a potted plant moving in strobe lighting, and arrange the results into stacked concentric transparencies, offset in the timeline by two frames. In this way, shapes appear to move forward and backwards in the image plane.
