Moving Image
Experimental moving image created by projection of rotating type and numerals. I have been further exploring text and the nature of a grapheme. Is it possible to view a symbol associated with a sound (“E”) and not hear the sound in the mind’s ear? Is (e) different? Is (!)? Can we make new graphemes by combining, remixing, layering existing letter forms or syntax? At what point do graphemes cease to be legible? When does a sentence turn into a picture?
